This device passes X-ray beams through the body which are absorbed by different amounts based on the density of the material that they pass through, such as bones and minerals, they appear white on X-ray images, the air inside the lungs appears black, and fat and muscle appear as shades for certain X-ray examinations, a contrast medium, such as iodine or of gray.Barium, is used to provide more details in the images.The X-ray is used to examine many parts of the body.
